Dear Young Catholics!

From Friday, March 9th until Friday, March 16th, there will be a retreat for high school students, organized and led by the Catholic youth movement, Youth Teams of Our Lady. Are you interested? Give the following a careful read-through.

 

It is rather easy to lose track of what is truly essential in life when living in an environment as "modernized" and secular as our society. Therefore, a retreat seeks to set our minds once more on this essential aspect of our life; namely, our relationship, and utmost love for God.

 

A retreat is a time of silence, and contemplation upon our spiritual health. Through the different conferences and sermons given to the youth by a priest, and the topics that are covered in small group meetings, retreat participants reaffirm their faith. Through partaking in the sacrifice of the Holy Mass, adoring Jesus Christ, Our Lord, in the Blessed Sacrament, and praying the rosary through our Mother and Mediatrix, Mary, we grow and strengthen our faith. Therefore, a retreat allows a participant to go back into our secular world with renewed strength in God, and a willingness to do His will.

 

 

 

Dates: Arrival is Sunday, March 11th, 2012 at 7:00pm and departure is 12:30 pm on  Friday, March 16th, 2012.

Venue: Teopoli Retreat Center  (1458 Houseys Rapids Road , Gravenhurst, ON)

Cost: The cost of the retreat is $222 incluuding transportation and $200 without transportation. More details are in the registration form, which MUST be completed.

Trasportation: You must arrange a ride on Sunday, March 11th to Teopoli. A bus will be arranged to transport people from Teopoli to the GTA and Kitchener on Friday, March 16th. The cost will be an additional $22.

Registration Deadline: Animator/Hermit and Moderator deadline is February 4th, 2012. The deadline for all other participants is February 20th, 2012. If an extension is needed, please let us know.

Please do NOT bring: cell phones, iPods, laptops and other electronic devices.  These will be confiscated untill the end of the retreat. If you need to make a phone call, let one of the retreat organizers know.
